As a Staff Software Engineer-DevOps engineer, You'll be responsible for bridging the gap between development and operations by automating and streamlining the software delivery lifecycle. They design and manage CI/CD pipelines to enable faster, reliable releases. The role involves working with cloud platforms, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform). DevOps engineers also monitor system performance, ensure high availability, and implement security best practices. Excellent scripting, troubleshooting, and collaboration skills are essential. Overall, they focus on improving efficiency, scalability, and reliability of applications and infrastructure.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins for automated build, test, and deployment in a Windows environment.

• Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform for scalable and secure cloud environments.

• Configure and manage AWS services (EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, etc.) to support application deployments and infrastructure needs.

• Automate system configuration and provisioning using Chef.

• Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of applications.

• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to ensure system reliability and performance.

• Optimize deployment processes and troubleshoot issues across Windows-based environments.

• Ensure compliance with security best practices and governance policies in cloud and infrastructure setups.

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven experience in DevOps practices and infrastructure automation.

• Hands-on expertise with:

  • Configuration Management: Chef

  • Infrastructure as Code: Terraform

  • CI/CD Tools: Jenkins

  • Cloud Platforms: AWS (EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, etc.)

• Good scripting and programming skills in Ruby, PowerShell or Python.

• Solid understanding of Windows Server administration, networking fundamentals, and Active Directory.

• Experience with version control systems (Git) and branching strategies.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams.

• Knowledge of security best practices in cloud and DevOps environments.

Education Qualification

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) with a minimum years of 8+ years of experience.
