Business & Team:
The Technology Chief Controls Office (CCO) team is a Line 1 risk team responsible for supporting CBA in continuing to mature its risk culture and establish and maintain strong risk practices. Technology CCO is responsible for providing end to end risk advice and guidance. We support our delivery teams across CommBank in their development and operation of solutions ranging across innovative product platforms for our customers to essential tools within our business.

The Technology Chief Controls Office (CCO) team is a Line 1 Risk and Controls team responsible for ensuring new and changing initiatives are assessed and there are adequate risk mitigations in place. Our team works in partnership with the Technology business functions to deliver safe, sound, and secure solutions with the application of:
Risk management framework and tools
Risk expertise and advice
Controls that are efficient, effective, sustainable, and automated
A greater preventative focus rather than detective
Risk processes that are simple to understand and apply
We are seeking a forward-thinking, technically proficient Risk Reporting professional to lead the transformation of our risk analysis to an autonomous, Tableau, Quicksight or PowerBI based environment. This role bridges business risk acumen with advanced report engineering skills, enabling scalable, intelligent decision support.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Lead the design and implementation of a roadmap to transition legacy manual reporting to fully automated analytics solutions (e.g. Tableau, PowerBI, Quicksight).
Play a key role in our AI-powered journey and build data flows that will support systems for risk monitoring and mitigation.
Work with teams to building intelligent reporting and AI agents capable of running real time risks assessment.
Collaborate with CCO, Risk and Technology teams to embed domain expertise into governance reporting.
Empower the CCO and Risk domains to upskill the data and insights capabilities of themselves and their teams.
Contribute to self-help guides and documentation.
Ensure reporting is auditable, explainable and compliant with business and regulatory requirements.
Work with teams towards system integration efforts with data platforms, APIs and visualisation tools.
Continuously evaluate and integrate the latest development in reporting, and tooling – including AI models, autonomous agents, and AI safety protocols.
Triage strategic data product requests in collaboration with data owners to ensure a sustainable backlog based on impact of requests.
Essential Skills:
15+ years’ governance and reporting.
Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to translate complex business needs into robust technical solutions.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Proven experience in Analytic tooling design and development; PowerBI, Tableau or Quicksight.
Familiarity with AWS, Teradata, Omnia platforms.
Scripting language knowledge e.g. SQL, Python
Strong proficiency in and experience building and deploying reporting tools and workflows.
Familiarity with modelling concepts such as risk analytics or actuarial concepts.
An understanding of risk and governance frameworks.
