The opportunity

 

We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled Support Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in Flutter, NodeJS, and MongoDB, and will be responsible for providing technical support, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring smooth operation of applications and services.

 

 

Your key responsibilities

 

  • Provide technical support to clients and end-users to troubleshoot and resolve complex software issues related to web and mobile applications using Flutter.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in both native applications and responsive web portals, ensuring high performance and reliability.
  • Perform code analysis and debugging to identify and fix software defects and performance bottlenecks.
  • Provide ongoing application support and maintenance, including monitoring performance, identifying bugs, and implementing fixes.
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable and efficient backend services using Node.js.
  • Work with MongoDB to design and optimise database schemas and queries for performance.
  • Create and manage RESTful APIs and web API layers to support front-end applications.
  • Analyse application logs and metrics using Grafana and other monitoring tools to identify and troubleshoot problems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers and QA engineers, to identify root causes and implement appropriate solutions.
  • Develop and write clear and concise technical documentation, including resolution steps, troubleshooting guides, and FAQs.
  • Debug complex issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement effective solutions with minimal downtime.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to provide innovative solutions and improve overall system efficiency.
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines using tools like Harness and Jenkins to automate deployment processes.
  • Assist in providing training and guidance to junior support team members, sharing technical knowledge and best practices.
  • Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to prioritise and address critical customer issues in a timely manner.

 

 

Skills and attributes for success

 

  • Strong knowledge of Flutter for web and mobile application support.
  • Experience with NodeJS for backend troubleshooting and support.
  • Proficiency in MongoDB for database-related support tasks.
  • Familiarity with REST APIs and JSON.
  • Good understanding of application logs and debugging techniques.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

 

 

To qualify for the role, you must have

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in implementing web and cross-platform mobile applications using Flutter, NodeJs, MongoDB.
  • Hands-on experience with API integration and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with responsive web design principles and best practices.
  • Proficient in using version control systems such as Git.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
