Summary of the role:

The Workday Integration Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and supporting enterprise-scale integrations and Workday Extend applications across the global HR technology landscape. This role focuses on delivering secure, scalable, and high-performing integrations using Workday tools while enabling automation and AI/GenAI-driven solutions.

As part of the Workday Integrations Team, this position will contribute to the development and maintenance of APIs, integration frameworks, and HR system connectivity across a mature Workday ecosystem. The role operates within an agile delivery model and supports continuous improvement of HR IT services.

About the role:

• Design, build, test, and deploy Workday integrations using Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, and Workday APIs

• Develop and support Workday Extend applications and orchestration-based workflows

• Build and maintain REST/SOAP integrations and web services

• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues; perform root cause analysis

• Provide ongoing technical support for integrations and Extend solutions

• Collaborate with HR, HRBPs, COEs, and IT stakeholders to deliver business-aligned solutions

• Support integrations across HCM domains including Core HCM, Payroll, Absence, Time & Labor, and Compensation

• Participate in AI/GenAI-driven automation use cases and Copilot-enabled integrations

• Create and maintain technical documentation (TDDs) and integration design artifacts

• Ensure adherence to agile practices, testing standards, and deployment processes

• Maintain system performance, reliability, and SLA compliance

About you:

• Workday Certification (Integration and/or Extend) – Mandatory

• Strong hands-on experience with:

  • Workday Extend

  • Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connectors

• Experience with Workday Orchestration Framework

• Experience in REST/SOAP APIs, WSDL, and web services integration

• Strong understanding of Workday architecture

• Experience with AI/GenAI, automation, or Copilot integrations

• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

• Ability to work independently and provide technical leadership

• Deliver robust, scalable Workday integrations aligned with business requirements

• Meet operational SLAs across incidents, enhancements, and releases

• Ensure high system stability, performance, and data integrity across integrations

• Drive automation and efficiency through AI/GenAI-enabled workflows

• Provide proactive monitoring, issue resolutions, and continuous improvements

• Strengthen integration architecture and ensure best-practice adoption

• Enable seamless collaboration across HR, IT, and business stakeholders

• 5–10 years overall experience

• 3–6+ years in Workday Integrations / Extend

• Remote / Hybrid (based on project needs)

• Ability to support global teams across time zones
