Our manufacturing facility in Komarapalayam, Tamil Nadu, focuses on precision fabrication, welding, assembly, finishing and quality-controlled production of motorcycle exhaust and performance components, with a strong emphasis on SS304 stainless-steel fabrication, fitment, durability, performance and premium finish.

We are looking for an experienced and technically strong Production Manager who can take ownership of the complete manufacturing operation and build a highly disciplined, efficient and scalable production system.

Job PurposeThe Production Manager will be responsible for planning, managing and controlling the complete production processfor motorcycle exhaust systems and related components.

The person will be responsible for ensuring that production targets are achieved on time while maintaining:

The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on knowledge of sheet-metal fabrication, tube fabrication, TIG/MIG welding, stainless-steel fabrication, exhaust/muffler manufacturing, jigs & fixtures, grinding/polishing, assembly and production quality control.

This is a hands-on leadership position and requires someone who is comfortable working directly on the factory floor and solving manufacturing problems.

  • Key Responsibilities1. Production Planning & SchedulingPrepare daily, weekly and monthly production plans based on sales orders, inventory requirements and dispatch schedules.
  • Convert production requirements into practical manufacturing schedules.
  • Allocate work across different production processes and workstations.
  • Monitor production progress throughout the day.
  • Ensure that committed production and dispatch deadlines are achieved.
  • Identify bottlenecks before they affect delivery schedules.
  • Coordinate with purchase, stores, quality control, sales and management teams.
  • Maintain adequate work-in-progress levels without creating unnecessary inventory.

2. Motorcycle Exhaust ManufacturingTake complete responsibility for manufacturing processes including:

  • SS304 pipe/tube cutting
  • Tube bending
  • Sheet-metal cutting and forming
  • CNC/laser-cut components
  • Cone fabrication
  • End-cap fabrication
  • Muffler body fabrication
  • Internal baffle construction
  • Perforated tube fabrication
  • Welding
  • TIG welding
  • MIG welding wherever applicable
  • Fixture-based assembly
  • Grinding
  • Deburring
  • Polishing
  • Brushing
  • Surface finishing
  • Packing and final inspection

The Production Manager should understand how individual processes affect exhaust fitment, sound characteristics, structural strength, appearance, weight and overall product performance.

3. Welding & Fabrication QualityThe candidate should be capable of supervising and improving welding operations.

Responsibilities include:

  • Establishing appropriate welding procedures for SS304 components.
  • Monitoring TIG welding quality.
  • Ensuring correct weld penetration and consistency.
  • Controlling welding distortion.
  • Identifying porosity, cracks, undercut and incomplete welds.
  • Maintaining consistent weld appearance.
  • Ensuring proper gas flow and welding parameters.
  • Monitoring welding consumables.
  • Training welders to maintain consistent quality.
  • Developing welding standards for different exhaust components.
  • Implementing welding jigs and fixtures to improve repeatability.

Experience with TIG welding of stainless steel exhaust components will be highly preferred.

4. Jigs, Fixtures & Process ImprovementThe Production Manager will be expected to continuously improve manufacturing repeatability.

Responsibilities include:

  • Designing and implementing production jigs and fixtures.
  • Improving fixture accuracy.
  • Reducing component movement during welding.
  • Establishing standard assembly procedures.
  • Identifying unnecessary production movements.
  • Reducing manual handling.
  • Improving workstation layouts.
  • Reducing cycle time.
  • Developing poka-yoke systems wherever practical.
  • Improving repeatability between batches.

The objective is to move production from a highly operator-dependent process toward a standardized and repeatable manufacturing system.

7. Exhaust Fitment & Product ValidationThe candidate should understand the importance of motorcycle-specific fitment.

Production must ensure that every product meets approved specifications for:

  • Chassis mounting points
  • Exhaust hanger position
  • Pipe routing
  • Clearance from chassis
  • Clearance from engine components
  • Clearance from tyres
  • Clearance from suspension components
  • Clearance from footrests
  • Clearance from brake components
  • Heat shield positioning

Any recurring fitment issue must be investigated and permanently corrected through changes to jigs, fixtures, drawings or process parameters.

8. Bill of Materials & Material ControlWork with the management and purchase team to maintain accurate production requirements.

Monitor:
