Billing Assistant

Job Title: Cashier / Store Assistant

Job Summary:

We are looking for a reliable and customer-friendly Cashier to join our supermarket team. The primary responsibility is billing customers accurately and providing excellent customer service. During non-peak hours, the employee will also assist with general store operations to ensure smooth day-to-day functioning.

Responsibilities:

• Operate the billing counter and process customer transactions accurately.
• Handle cash, UPI, card, and other payment methods.
• Provide friendly and efficient customer service.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the billing counter.
• Assist with stocking shelves and arranging products when required.
• Help customers locate products.
• Check product prices and update labels if needed.
• Support inventory counting and store housekeeping.
• Perform other store-related tasks as assigned by the manager.

Requirements:

• Basic computer skills.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Honest, punctual, and responsible.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Flexible and willing to assist in different areas of the store when needed.
• Previous cashier or retail experience is preferred but not mandatory.

Note: This is not a desk-only cashier position. While billing is the primary responsibility, all team members are expected to assist with general supermarket operations whenever required.
