Basic Information
Job Title: Purchase Officer
Salary: ₹25,000 – ₹30,000/month
Employment Type: Full Time
Experience Required: 2 to 3 Years
Education: Graduate
Key Responsibilities
Prepare purchase orders and solicit quote proposals for materials and services.
Review and maintain records of purchase requisitions, costs, delivery schedules, vendor performance, and inventories
Monitor production and delivery status of ordered materials and outsourced items
Notify department heads about the status of incoming shipments
Confirm day-to-day purchase orders and prepare daily Material Demand & Open PO reports
Analyze inventory for raw materials and supplies
Communicate with suppliers on product costing and lead times/shipping dates
Evaluate supplier performance based on conformance and non-conformance deliveries
Coordinate with freight carriers on freight costs and scheduling
Resolve backorders and delays by liaising with buyers, vendors, and supply chain personnel
