Job Title: Academic Counselor – Cosmos IQ

Job Description:

Cosmos IQ is looking for a motivated and student-focused Academic Counselor to guide students in selecting suitable courses and career paths. The Academic Counselor will be responsible for counseling prospective students, understanding their educational goals, and recommending appropriate programs offered by Cosmos IQ.

Key Responsibilities:

• Counsel students and professionals regarding courses, certifications, and career opportunities.
• Understand student requirements and recommend suitable academic programs.
• Handle inbound and outbound calls, leads, and student inquiries.
• Explain course features, fees, learning outcomes, and placement support.
• Follow up with prospective students and convert leads into enrollments.
• Maintain accurate records of student interactions in CRM or internal systems.
• Coordinate with internal teams for admissions, documentation, and onboarding support.
• Build strong relationships with students and provide end-to-end admission guidance.
• Achieve monthly counseling and enrollment targets.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in academic counseling, sales, or student advisory roles is preferred.
• Ability to understand student needs and provide career guidance.
• Basic knowledge of CRM tools and MS Office/Google Sheets.
• Strong follow-up, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Target-oriented mindset with a positive and professional approach.

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of EdTech, professional certification courses, or higher education programs.
• Strong presentation and counseling abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
