HVAC Site Engineer

The HVAC Site & Billing Engineer will be responsible for executing HVAC projects at site, monitoring work progress, coordinating with clients and consultants, preparing measurements, and handling project billing. The role requires ensuring quality execution, adherence to project timelines, and accurate documentation for billing and client approvals.

Key Responsibilities

Site Execution

• Supervise installation of HVAC systems, including ducting, chilled water piping, VRF systems, ventilation, insulation, and equipment installation.
• Ensure work is executed as per approved drawings, specifications, and relevant standards.
• Coordinate with civil, electrical, plumbing, and fire-fighting teams to avoid service clashes.
• Monitor daily site activities, manpower, subcontractors, and material utilization.
• Conduct site inspections and ensure compliance with quality and safety requirements.
• Identify and resolve site execution issues in coordination with the Project Manager.

Billing & Documentation

• Prepare client RA (Running Account) bills and subcontractor bills.
• Measure executed quantities and maintain measurement sheets.
• Prepare BOQ reconciliation and quantity variation statements.
• Track work progress against billing milestones.
• Maintain billing records, work completion reports, and supporting documents.
• Coordinate with consultants and clients for measurement verification and bill certification.

Planning & Coordination

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
• Coordinate with procurement for timely material requirements.
• Participate in project review meetings with clients and consultants.
• Ensure timely submission of shop drawings, material approvals, and as-built drawings.

Quality & Safety

• Ensure installation complies with project specifications, IS codes, and applicable standards.
• Follow company safety procedures and promote safe work practices on site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• 2–6 years of experience in HVAC project execution and billing.
• Experience in commercial, residential, hospital, industrial, or high-rise building projects is preferred.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and installation practices.
• Experience in client billing, BOQ preparation, and quantity take-off.
• Ability to read and interpret HVAC drawings and coordinated services drawings.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Excel.
• Knowledge of MS Project or Primavera is an added advantage.
• Good communication, coordination, and reporting skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet project deadlines.
