Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Solar Engineer to join our team for utility-scale solar projects. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in the installation, commissioning, and documentation of MW-scale solar power plants. This role requires strong technical knowledge, project execution capabilities, and familiarity with industry standards and compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Execution:

• Supervise and manage the installation of MW-scale solar power plants (ground-mounted and/or rooftop).

• Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and internal teams for timely project delivery.

• Conduct site visits, feasibility studies, and layout planning.

• Technical Oversight:

• Review and interpret electrical designs, SLDs, layouts, and engineering drawings.

• Ensure quality control and adherence to safety standards at the project site.

• Conduct testing and commissioning of solar systems as per standards.

• Documentation & Compliance:

• Prepare and maintain all necessary documentation including DPRs, test reports, commissioning reports, and handover documents.

• Manage approvals and liaise with DISCOMs, electrical inspectors, and other regulatory bodies.

• Ensure compliance with MNRE, IEC, and other relevant standards.

• Team Coordination & Reporting:

• Provide technical guidance to on-site teams and contractors.

• Report progress, issues, and solutions to the project manager or senior management.

• Assist in vendor evaluation and technical procurement processes.

Key Requirements:

• Education: B.E./B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, or Renewable Energy Engineering

• Experience: 3-5 years in MW-scale solar project execution and documentation

• Skills:

• Strong understanding of solar PV systems, inverters, transformers, SCADA, etc.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, PVsyst (preferred)

• Knowledge of relevant codes and safety regulations

• Excellent documentation and communication skills

• Ability to work independently under minimal supervision

Preferred:

• Experience with SCADA integration and remote monitoring systems

• Hands-on knowledge of grid synchronization and utility compliance

• Familiarity with net metering and open access documentation
