Job Description
A Staff Nurse is responsible for providing safe, compassionate, and high-quality nursing care to patients. The role includes assessing patients, planning and implementing nursing care, administering medications, monitoring patient progress, and collaborating with doctors and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible patient outcomes.
- Key ResponsibilitiesAssess patients' physical and emotional health.
- Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and clinical condition.
- Assist physicians during examinations and medical procedures.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient records.
- Educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatments, and discharge instructions.
- Ensure infection prevention and control practices are followed.
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies and provide first aid or life support when required.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver quality patient care.
- Maintain patient privacy, confidentiality, and dignity.
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of medical equipment.
- Comply with hospital policies, nursing standards, and regulatory requirements.
QualificationsDiploma, B.Sc. Nursing, or GNM from a recognized institution.
