Job Description
Expertise in ARC welding for pressure-bearing joints. Proficiency in grinding, cutting, and fitting techniques. Joint Preparation and Welding. Cleaning pipe ends and performing socket or butt welding based on pipe diameter (e.g., IS 1239, IS 3589 standards). Cutting, fitting, and welding pipes (usually steel, sometimes stainless steel or other alloys). Knowledge of fire protection systems and piping codes (like NFPA standards). Repairing and modifying existing fire fighting pipelines, including specialized welding for underground installations (e.g., pipe wrapping for corrosion protection).
