Job Summary:

The Asst. Manager - Sales will be responsible for driving sales growth, generating new business opportunities, managing client relationships, architect and consultant coordination, and achieving revenue targets for the company's interior design, modular furniture, turnkey fit-out, and execution projects. The role requires strong business development skills and the ability to build strategic relationships within the architecture, construction, and interior design industry.

Key Responsibilities: Business

  • Development & SalesIdentify and develop new business opportunities in residential, commercial, retail, hospitality, institutional, and corporate sectors.
  • Generate leads through architects, interior designers, consultants, builders, developers, contractors, referrals, and direct marketing activities.
  • Conduct client meetings, presentations, site visits, and product demonstrations.
  • Understand client requirements and coordinate with the design and estimation teams for proposal preparation.
  • Prepare and present quotations, commercial proposals, and project estimates.
  • Negotiate contracts and close sales to achieve monthly and annual revenue targets.

Architect & Consultant Coordination

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with architects, interior designers, consultants, builders, and project management firms.
  • Regularly meet architects and consultants to promote the company's products, services, and project capabilities.
  • Obtain project leads and specifications through architect and consultant networks.
  • Coordinate with architects and clients during project planning and execution stages.
  • Ensure timely submission of drawings, proposals, material specifications, and project-related documents.
  • Represent the company in architect meets, industry events, exhibitions, and networking forums.

Client Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients and key stakeholders.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction throughout the sales and project execution process.
  • Address customer concerns and coordinate with internal departments for effective resolution.

Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Interior Design, or a related field.
  • Additional certifications or courses in sales, negotiation, or interior design are a plus.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years and above of direct sales experience in the interior design industry or a similar field (e.g., architecture, construction, retail sales of durable goods).
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets in a target-based environment.
  • Experience in selling interior design services and products, with a deep understanding of client needs and the design process.

Soft Skills:

  • Good communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence clients and close deals effectively.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and maintain long-term partnerships.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently to achieve results.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple client relationships and sales opportunities simultaneously.
