Job Title: Accounting & Taxation Intern

Location: Bhubaneswar

Duration: 2-3 months

Must have laptop and 2 wheeler to commute. This is a WFO role.

About the Role

We're looking for a detail-oriented intern to support our finance function across day-to-day accounting and statutory compliance. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who wants practical exposure to bookkeeping, GST, ITR and TDS in a fast-moving environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day bookkeeping and data entry in accounting software (Tally / Zoho Books / similar)
• Record and reconcile invoices, receipts, payments, and bank statements
• Support GST compliance - preparing data for GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B, reconciling GSTR-2B, and tracking input tax credit
• ITR filling
• Help compute and track TDS deductions, and assist with quarterly return filings
• Maintain organized records of vendor bills, expense claims, and supporting documentation
• Assist in accounts payable and receivable tracking and follow-ups
• Support month-end closing activities and preparation of basic MIS reports
• Help compile documents for audits and statutory filings

Requirements

• Pursuing or recently completed B.Com / M.Com / BBA (Finance) / CA or CMA Inter
• Working knowledge of accounting principles and basic taxation concepts (GST, TDS)
• Familiarity with Tally or any accounting software is a strong plus
• Comfortable with MS Excel / Google Sheets (formulas, basic data handling)
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
• Ability to handle confidential financial information responsibly
