Job Description

Associate Manager - Electrical

The Associate Manager - Electrical will be responsible for managing and executing electrical engineering projects across power generation and distribution facilities. The role entails detailed involvement in design validation, system commissioning, and ongoing maintenance activities, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and company policies. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

- Leading the design review and approval process for electrical systems including power distribution, control systems, and protection schemes.

- Coordinating with cross-functional teams such as mechanical, civil, and instrumentation engineers to ensure seamless integration of electrical components in power projects.

- Overseeing project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation to deliver projects within scope and cost constraints.

- Conducting thorough risk assessments and implementing corrective actions to ensure compliance with safety standards, environmental guidelines, and quality assurance processes.

- Driving preventive maintenance strategies and troubleshooting electrical equipment to minimize downtime and optimize performance.

- Establishing and enforcing standard operating procedures (SOPs) for electrical systems and equipment.

- Evaluating and adopting innovative technologies and best practices to enhance operational efficiency and sustainability.

- Preparing detailed technical reports, documentation, and progress updates for senior management and stakeholders.

- Managing vendor relationships and supervising contractors to ensure quality and timely delivery of electrical materials and services.

- Facilitating training and development programs for junior engineers and technicians to build technical capabilities within the team.

- Collaborating closely with regulatory bodies and internal audit teams to ensure all electrical works comply with statutory requirements and internal policies.

- Championing Adani’s core values of integrity, excellence, safety, and sustainability in every aspect of the job.

- Participating in strategic planning to support business expansion and modernization of electrical infrastructure.

- Leading emergency response teams and electrical fault analysis during operational anomalies or outages.

Education Qualification

- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent from a recognized university. - Postgraduate qualification or specialized training in Power Systems or Energy Management will be an advantage.

Certification Required

- Certified Electrical Engineer (e.g., Chartered Engineer status or equivalent). - Relevant certifications such as PMP, IEC standards training, or Safety Management certification are preferred.
