Quality Assurance Associate (Boisar)

 1. SIS Monitoring and Defect Identification:

·      Regularly review coil videos saved from SIS (Surface Inspection System).

·      Highlights potential defects such as Annealing Black patches, slivers, Water carryover, Scratches etc and reports them for further verification.

·      Mark and document defective locations and support traceability.

 2. Defect Confirmation and Clearance:

·      Cross-verify suspected defects visually and with SIS data.

·      Aid QA Manager in clearing defect-free coils through CCTS System.

·      Escalate confirmed defective coils with proper tagging and video/image evidence to QA Manager.

 3. Daily Reporting and Documentation:

·      Maintain daily defect tracking sheets for each process line (Pickling,4hi Mill, ECL, BAF, SPM).

·      Prepare and update STC records.

·      Support QA team in making overall performance dashboards.

 4. Shop Floor Defect Analysis:

·      Visit shop floor lines (e.g., Pickling, 4hi, ECL, Skin Pass) during coil running for live monitoring.

·      Provide real-time feedback on recurring defects to QA and process teams.

 5. Mechanical Testing Coordination:

·      Work with MSO and lab technicians to make sure tests are done on time to ensure no delay in NC clearance.

·      Reports abnormal test status and results back to QA team.

6. Audit and Complaint Investigation Support:

·      Helps QA team prepare documents and data during internal audits.

·      Supports complaint-related sample tracing and preliminary data collection.

7. QA Area 5S and Safety Practices:

·      Maintains basic cleanliness and organization in QA lab and office areas.

·      Adheres to safety norms and PPE usage during shop floor visits

8. Data Entry Support:

·      Enter defect data into Excel sheets, perform basic data cleaning activities, and support the QA officer in report preparation.

·      Ensure accurate documentation for QA traceability.
