Accounts Receivable Officer

Key Responsibilities

Financial & Core Accounting

• Manage general ledger accounts and accurately post daily financial transactions (journal entries, invoices, and receipts).
• Perform regular bank and ledger reconciliations to ensure complete financial accuracy.
• Assist in preparing monthly financial statements, including Profit & Loss and Balance Sheets.
• Assist with tax filing preparations (such as GST, TDS, or local state taxes).

Customer Calling & Collections (Accounts Receivable)

• Payment Follow-ups: Regularly call customers with outstanding balances to secure payment commitments and reduce overdue accounts.
• Query Resolution: Act as the primary phone contact for customers regarding invoice discrepancies, billing errors, or payment confirmations.
• Relationship Management: Maintain professional, polite, yet firm phone communication with clients to ensure steady cash flow while preserving positive business relationships.
• Ledger Verification: Call clients to reconcile statement of accounts (SOA) and clear up any balance mismatches.
• Record Keeping: Log detailed call notes, payment promises, and follow-up dates into the accounting software or CRM.
