Assistant Manager - Maintenance BIW

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

Maintenance & Operations

• Robotic welding & hemming systems
• Fixtures, jigs, clamps, and tackles
• Conveyors, transfer systems, lifts, and material handling systems
• Monitor equipment health and ensure maximum uptime and OEE improvement
• Analyze recurring breakdowns and implement root cause & corrective actions
• Support new line commissioning, equipment installation, and trials

Automation & Electrical

• Handle PLC, HMI, sensors, drives, and basic robot troubleshooting
• Coordinate with OEMs and vendors for automation issues and upgrades
• Maintain electrical panels, safety interlocks, and control systems

TPM / Continuous Improvement

• Drive TPM pillars – Jishu Hozen (Autonomous Maintenance), Planned Maintenance
• Conduct Kaizen, cost reduction, and energy-saving initiatives
• Support 5S, safety audits, and maintenance standards

Safety, Quality & Compliance

• Ensure adherence to EHS, machine safety, and statutory requirements
• Support quality improvement by minimizing welding defects, rework, and line stoppages
• Maintain maintenance records, check sheets, and SOPs
• Support internal and external audits
