Assistant Manager - Maintenance BIW
Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
Maintenance & Operations
- Robotic welding & hemming systems
- Fixtures, jigs, clamps, and tackles
- Conveyors, transfer systems, lifts, and material handling systems
- Monitor equipment health and ensure maximum uptime and OEE improvement
- Analyze recurring breakdowns and implement root cause & corrective actions
- Support new line commissioning, equipment installation, and trials
Automation & Electrical
- Handle PLC, HMI, sensors, drives, and basic robot troubleshooting
- Coordinate with OEMs and vendors for automation issues and upgrades
- Maintain electrical panels, safety interlocks, and control systems
TPM / Continuous Improvement
- Drive TPM pillars – Jishu Hozen (Autonomous Maintenance), Planned Maintenance
- Conduct Kaizen, cost reduction, and energy-saving initiatives
- Support 5S, safety audits, and maintenance standards
Safety, Quality & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to EHS, machine safety, and statutory requirements
- Support quality improvement by minimizing welding defects, rework, and line stoppages
- Maintain maintenance records, check sheets, and SOPs
- Support internal and external audits
