Lead Engineer - Steering & Front Axle
Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
- Design and development of Steering system for light commercial vehicle platform.
- Design and development of Front axle system for light commercial vehicle platform.
- Deliver Steering and Front wheel end aggregates as per QCDW (Quality, cost, delivery, weight) for projects.
- Resolve field / Mfg concerns
- Leading a team of people
- DFMEA, Design review, DVP generation, analysis using G8D technique
- Vehicle level and component level DVP requirements
- Interact with CAE, CDMM, validation for aggregate development
- Interact with suppliers for proprietary part design and development
- Root cause analysis and concern resolution.
- Aware of Homologation and regulatory requirements.
- Build technology roadmap on the above aggregates and execute potential ideas

1. Ability to design Steering system for light commercial vehicle platform.
2. Ability to design Front axle system for light commercial vehicle platform.
3. Knowledge on ADAS integration
4. Knowledge on Electric steering performance tuning.
5. Good knowledge on part and system level calculations.
6. Good knowledge on part and vehicle level DVP requirements.
7. Good knowledge on Kinematics and Compliance.
8. Good knowledge of Vehicle dynamics and system level calculations.
9. Knowledge on Failure analysis and problem solving.
10. Knowledge on Sheet metal, castings & forgings design & manufacturing process.
11. Knowledge on DFM,DFA,DFS
12. Sheet metal, castings & forging part design & manufacturing process knowledge.
13. Result orientation with execution excellence.
14. CAD knowledge (Catia & Team centre PLM)
15. Conflict resolution and Problem-solving skills and Decision Making.
