Manager - Supplier Technical Assurance for Trims

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

1. STA Delivery Accountability: Own end-to-end delivery of all STA activities across assigned platforms.

2. TCP Compliance: Ensure STA officers meet platform requirements on Time, Cost, and Performance.

3. Part Quality Development: Drive the development of parts with the right quality standards through STAs, aligned with APQP processes to support production targets.

4. Cost Estimation: Prepare detailed component-wise cost estimates for new parts.

5. Budget Alignment: Participate in material and tooling cost negotiations to ensure values remain within budget.

6. Supplier Process Planning: Define supplier-side processes, prepare PFCs (Process Flow Charts), and establish control plans.

7. Quality Tools Application: Conduct MSA and SPC studies when required.

8. PPAP Execution: Attend PPAP trial runs, validate parts, and approve PPAP submissions.

9. Gateway Compliance: Ensure project milestones meet MPDS gateway targets.

10. Tooling Readiness: Guarantee fixtures, gauges, and tooling are correctly planned for development.

11. First-Time PPAP Success: Secure first-time-right PPAP approvals.

12. Feasibility Studies: Actively contribute to project feasibility assessments.

13. Inspection & Capability: Achieve 100% PIST (Percentage Inspection Points Satisfying Tolerance) and PIPC (Percent Indices Process Capable).

14. GR Acceptance: Ensure 100% GR acceptance post-PPAP approval.

15. Supplier Interface: Collaborate with commodity teams to identify suppliers, evaluate ratings, assess costs, and align with sourcing policies.
