Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Safety Engineer at Automobile OEM in Chakan, Pune. The Safety Engineer will be responsible for tasks related to safety engineering, occupational health, security, training, and construction safety.

Qualifications

• Occupational Health and Security skills
• Training skills
• Experience in safety engineering and construction safety practices
• Knowledge of occupational health and security regulations
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Certification in safety-related field is a plus

Responsibilities

• Design safety features: Design safety features like airbags and seatbelts
• Research safety technologies: Research new safety technologies and test existing safety systems
• Work with design teams: Collaborate with automotive design and engineering teams
• Ensure regulatory compliance: Ensure that vehicles comply with safety regulations and standards
• Conduct risk assessments: Identify potential hazards and develop strategies to mitigate them
• Conduct safety inspections: Inspect facilities and equipment to identify and fix potential hazards
• Develop safety policies and procedures: Develop safety policies and procedures to ensure the safety of occupants
• Train staff: Train staff on safety protocols
• Investigate incidents: Investigate incidents to learn from them and improve safety
