WTP Operator

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and monitor WTP systems including filtration units, dosing systems, pumps, and control panels
• Ensure proper functioning of equipment such as pressure filters, softeners, RO systems, and chemical dosing units
• Maintain desired water quality parameters (pH, TDS, hardness, turbidity, etc.)
• Perform routine plant inspections and record operational data in log sheets
• Handle and dose chemicals like antiscalant, etc., as per requirement
• Carry out backwashing, regeneration, and cleaning of filters and membranes
• Identify and report any abnormalities, leakages, or equipment malfunctions
• Assist in preventive and breakdown maintenance activities
• Maintain housekeeping and cleanliness of the WTP area
• Follow safety procedures and ensure proper use of PPE

Skills & Requirements:

• Basic knowledge of water treatment processes and equipment
• Ability to operate pumps, valves, and control systems
• Understanding of water quality testing methods
• Basic troubleshooting skills
• Ability to maintain records and reports
