Assistant Restaurant Manager

The Assistant Restaurant Manager supports the daily operations of the restaurant by ensuring excellent guest service, smooth team coordination, high hygiene standards, and achievement of sales targets. The role involves supervising staff, handling guest concerns, maintaining operational standards, and assisting in overall restaurant management.

Key Responsibilities

* Assist in managing day-to-day restaurant operations.

* Ensure exceptional guest experience and service standards at all times.

* Supervise and guide service staff during shifts.

* Handle guest queries, complaints, and feedback professionally.

* Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety standards as per company SOPs.

* Support staff scheduling, attendance, grooming, and discipline.

* Coordinate with kitchen and bar teams for smooth operations.

* Monitor table turnover, reservations, and seating arrangements.

* Assist in achieving monthly sales and revenue targets.

* Conduct daily briefings and team training sessions.

* Maintain inventory control and minimize wastage.

* Ensure proper billing, cash handling, and POS operations.

* Help in implementing promotional activities and events.

* Prepare operational reports and shift closing summaries.

* Ensure compliance with company policies and local regulations.

Required Skills & Qualifications

* Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Hotel Management or Hospitality preferred.

* 2–5 years of experience in restaurant or hospitality operations.

* Strong leadership and team management skills.

* Good communication and interpersonal abilities.

* Knowledge of restaurant SOPs, guest handling, and service standards.

* Ability to work in fast-paced environments and flexible shifts.

* Basic knowledge of inventory, billing, and POS systems.

* Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
