As part of our expansion across India, we are looking for a dynamic Area Sales Manager to strengthen and manage our Chennai sales operations and retail network.
Job Summary
The Area Sales Manager will be responsible for driving sales growth, handling retail store operations, managing sales teams, and expanding the company’s market presence in Chennai. The ideal candidate should have strong leadership skills, retail sales experience, and the ability to achieve business targets.
Key Responsibilities
Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets for the assigned region
Manage and support retail stores and channel partners across Chennai
Lead, train, and motivate the sales team to improve performance
Monitor daily sales activities and ensure smooth store operations
Conduct market analysis and identify new business opportunities
Build strong relationships with customers, dealers, and distributors
Ensure proper product demonstrations and customer engagement at stores
Coordinate with service and operations teams for customer satisfaction
Track competitor activities and market trends
Prepare sales reports and present performance updates to management
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field
3–7 years of experience in retail sales, consumer electronics, appliances, or related industries
Strong leadership and team management skills
Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
Target-oriented with good analytical skills
Willingness to travel within Chennai and nearby areas
Preferred Skills
Experience in handling retail sales teams
Knowledge of consumer durable or home appliance industry
Strong problem-solving and customer-handling skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
