Civil Design Engineer

Key ResponsibilitiesAssist in preparing 3D structural and piping models based on engineering drawings, specifications, and design inputs.

• Perform structural analysis under the guidance of senior engineers using STAAD.Pro.
• Assist in pipe stress analysis for piping systems using CAESAR II.
• Prepare structural steel detailing and 3D models using Tekla Structures.
• Develop and update engineering models, ensuring compliance with project standards and client requirements.
• Prepare design calculation reports, analysis reports, and technical documentation using Microsoft Word.
• Review engineering drawings, design inputs, and project specifications before commencing modelling and analysis.
• Modify structural and piping models based on design review comments.
• Generate fabrication drawings, GA drawings, and shop drawings as instructed.
• Verify modelling accuracy by checking dimensions, member connectivity, material properties, and loading conditions.
• Assist in preparing Bill of Materials (BOM), material take-offs, and quantity reports.
• Maintain proper file organization and version control of engineering documents.
• Coordinate with senior engineers for design reviews and technical clarifications.
• Follow company engineering procedures, quality standards, and document control processes.
• Participate in internal technical training sessions and continuously improve software proficiency.
• Learn applicable engineering standards such as IS, AISC, ASCE, API, ASME, DNV, Eurocodes, and project-specific client specifications.
• Support project teams in achieving scheduled deliverables while maintaining quality standards.
• Report daily work progress and complete assigned tasks within project timelines.
