Junior Doctor (Cardiac Wellness)We are seeking a diligent and empathetic Junior Doctor to join our Cardiac Wellness team. This role is designed for a clinician who is passionate about preventive cardiology and dedicated to providing high-quality, patient-centered care. You will be the first point of clinical contact for patients entering our wellness programs, focusing on early detection and lifestyle-driven heart health.

Position OverviewRole: Junior Doctor – Cardiac Wellness Clinic

Department: Preventive Cardiology / Wellness

Reports to: Lead Cardiologist / Clinic Manager

Objective: To conduct comprehensive cardiovascular screenings and facilitate diagnostic pathways for patients seeking to optimize their heart health.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Clinical Assessment & Physical ExaminationsPerform thorough General Physical Examinations, including BMI assessment, waist-to-hip ratio, and peripheral vascular checks.

• Conduct detailed medical history interviews focusing on cardiovascular risk factors (e.g., family history, smoking status, diet, and sedentary behavior).
• Monitor and interpret vital signs, specifically focused on blood pressure management and heart rate variability.

2. Screening & Diagnostic Procedures interpret baseline diagnostic tests, including:

• Resting ECGs (Electrocardiograms): Identifying arrhythmias or signs of previous ischemia.
• Stress Testing: Assisting in the supervision of Treadmill Tests (TMT) to monitor heart response under physical exertion.
• Point-of-Care Testing: Conducting rapid lipid profiles, glucose checks, and HbA1c screenings.
• Coordinate advanced imaging referrals, such as Echocardiograms or Calcium Scoring (CT), as indicated by screening results.

3. Patient Education & Wellness PlanningTranslate complex clinical data into actionable advice for patients regarding heart-healthy habits.

• Assist in the development of individualized wellness protocols involving nutrition, exercise, and stress management.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including dietitians and physiotherapists, to ensure holistic patient care.

4. Clinical Documentation & AdministrationMaintain accurate and timely electronic health records (EHR).

• Follow up on laboratory results and flag abnormalities to the Senior Cardiologist immediately.
• Ensure all diagnostic equipment is calibrated and the clinic maintains strict adherence to safety protocols.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Education: MBBS or equivalent degree from a recognized medical institution.

Licensure: Valid registration with the National/State Medical Council.

Technical Proficiency: Competency in reading basic ECGs, BP, Rate Heart

Soft Skills: Exceptional communication skills, a "preventive-first" mindset, and the ability to put anxious patients at ease.
