Job Summary
The Store Manager is responsible for the overall operations of the retail store, ensuring excellent customer service, achieving sales targets, managing inventory, maintaining visual merchandising standards, and leading the store team to deliver an outstanding shopping experience.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
- Drive store profitability through effective sales strategies.
- Monitor daily sales performance and implement action plans.
- Increase conversion rate, average bill value, and units per bill.
- Promote seasonal offers, promotions, and loyalty programs.
Store Operations
- Ensure smooth day-to-day store operations.
- Maintain SOP compliance and operational excellence.
- Monitor opening and closing procedures.
- Ensure billing accuracy and cash management.
- Handle customer complaints professionally and resolve issues promptly.
Team Management
- Recruit, train, and motivate store staff.
- Prepare staff duty rosters and manage attendance.
- Conduct daily briefings and performance reviews.
- Monitor employee grooming, discipline, and productivity.
- Develop staff product knowledge and selling skills.
Customer Service
- Deliver an exceptional customer experience.
- Build strong customer relationships and encourage repeat visits.
- Handle customer feedback and escalate issues when necessary.
- Ensure a child-friendly and welcoming shopping environment.
Inventory Management
- Maintain accurate stock records.
- Conduct regular stock audits and cycle counts.
- Monitor stock replenishment and transfers.
- Minimize stock loss, shrinkage, and damages.
- Coordinate with the warehouse for stock availability.
Visual Merchandising
- Ensure attractive product displays.
- Execute VM guidelines and seasonal displays.
- Maintain store cleanliness and brand standards.
- Ensure mannequins and promotional materials are updated.
Administration & Compliance
- Submit daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
- Ensure statutory compliance and store documentation.
- Coordinate maintenance, housekeeping, and security.
- Maintain health and safety standards within the store.
