This is a full-time on-site role for an Salon Manager at 1 Hair Stop in Chennai. The Assistant Salon Manager will support daily salon operations, help manage staff coordination, ensure smooth customer experiences, assist in inventory and appointment management, and work closely with the Salon Manager to maintain high service standards across the salon.
Responsibilities
- Salon Coordination: Assist in managing daily salon activities, including appointment scheduling, client flow, staff coordination, and maintaining salon cleanliness and organization.
- Customer Experience: Ensure every customer receives a welcoming and professional experience by addressing queries, resolving concerns, and maintaining service quality standards.
- Team Support: Work closely with hairstylists, technicians, and front desk staff to ensure smooth salon operations and a positive team environment.
- Staff Supervision: Help monitor staff attendance, punctuality, grooming standards, and day-to-day performance while supporting the Salon Manager in team management.
- Training Assistance: Support onboarding and training activities for salon staff and help ensure the team stays updated with current hair care trends, services, and product knowledge.
- Appointment & Front Desk Management: Oversee bookings, walk-ins, billing coordination, and customer follow-ups to ensure efficient salon operations throughout the day.
- Inventory Support: Assist in monitoring salon inventory, stock levels, product usage, and salon supplies to avoid shortages or unnecessary wastage.
- Customer Feedback Management: Interact regularly with clients to gather feedback and share insights with management to improve customer satisfaction and retention.
- Compliance & Hygiene: Ensure salon hygiene, safety standards, and company policies are consistently followed by staff members.
Requirements
- Prior experience in a salon, beauty, or customer service management role is preferred.
- Good understanding of salon operations, hair care services, and customer handling.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage both staff and clients professionally.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced salon environment while handling multiple responsibilities.
- Basic leadership and team coordination skills.
- Experience with appointment handling, billing systems, or front desk operations is an added advantage.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Willingness to work full-time from our salon location.
- A positive attitude, attention to detail, and passion for the beauty and hair care industry.
- Diploma or certification in cosmetology, beauty, or salon management is preferred but not mandatory.
