Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a VMC Operator located in Chennai. The VMC Operator will be responsible for setting up and operating Vertical Machining Center (VMC) machines, interpreting blueprints, and ensuring the production of high-precision components as per design specifications. The operator is expected to inspect finished products for quality assurance, perform routine maintenance of machinery, and collaborate with the production team to meet project deadlines efficiently.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in operating and programming VMC machines
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications
• Experience in performing quality control checks and using measurement tools like micrometers and calipers
• Knowledge of CNC programming and basic troubleshooting skills
• Understanding of safety procedures and maintenance practices for industrial machines
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to manage time effectively and work as part of a team
• Diploma or certification in Mechanical Engineering, Machining, or a related field
• Previous experience in a manufacturing or machining environment is an advantage
