Job Description: Part-time – Abacus Teacher
Location: SIP Abacus, Ormes Road, Kilpauk, Chennai
Job Type: Part-time, In-person role | Work from Office

About the Role
We are hiring a Part-time Abacus Teacher for our SIP Abacus Centre located at ORMES ROAD, KILPAUK, CHENNAI. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children, has the patience to guide young minds, and is looking for a flexible part-time teaching opportunity.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach Abacus and related activities to children aged 3–15 years in a structured, interactive way.
- Demonstrate strong communication skills in both English and the local language to connect with students and parents effectively.
- Learn new concepts and teaching methodologies and apply them with patience and clarity.
- Create a safe, supportive, and motivating classroom environment that encourages curiosity and focus.
- Maintain discipline and ensure every child progresses at their own pace.
Required Skills & Qualities
- Excellent communication skills in English and local language
- Patience and empathy while working with young children.
- Willingness to learn new teaching techniques and adopt SIP Abacus training methodologies.
- Strong interpersonal skills to engage with parents and peers.
Work Schedule – Part-time
- Weekly Off: TUESDAY's weekly off
- Working Days: Sunday To Monday
- Work Timings:
- Monday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday: 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM
- Saturday: 09:30 AM – 01:30 PM & 4:00 PM – 6:30 PM
- Sunday: 09:30 AM – 01:30 PM
This role is only part-time and requires physical presence at the centre during the above class timings. NO ONLINE.
Prefer candidates from Chennai within 5kms radius from Kilpauk, Chennai.
