About the Team: 

This Job Role is part of the Job Family "Purchasing & Supplier Development" / Sub Job Family "PS Purchasing" and includes jobs focused on planning, processing, and managing all purchasing activities to ensure the Key Business organization receives the necessary materials, parts, semi-products, and services.
The main tasks of the Job Role "Buyer" are sourcing, negotiating, and procuring materials and services to ensure cost efficiency. This role follows procurement strategies, optimizes processes and supports business goals.

 

What you can look forward to as Commodity Buyer- Fasteners:

•    Source and develop suppliers for fasteners and cold-forged parts
•    Evaluate suppliers on capability, quality, and capacity
•    Handle RFQs, costing, and price negotiations
•    Ensure material and specification compliance (DIN/ISO/ASTM)
•    Coordinate with Quality for PPAP, approvals, and issue resolution
•    Work cross-functionally for NPD, delivery, and cost optimization
•    Monitor supplier performance (cost, quality, delivery)

Your Profile as Commodity Buyer:

•    Engineering degree (Mechanical/Automobile/Production)
•    8–10 years in automotive/commodity purchasing
•    Cold forging sourcing experience preferred
•    Strong communication and MS Office skills
