Job Description

ASSISTANT MANAGER - MIS AND ANALYTICS

Core Responsibilities

  • Overseeing the operations and functionality of the MIS, including managing and maintaining systems.
  • Developing and generating regular reports, analysing data to identify trends and insights, and providing data-driven recommendations.
  • Working with IT teams to implement system improvements, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating on cross-functional projects.
  • Identifying and recommending improvements to business processes based on data analysis
  • Drive process automation initiatives in the process to enable efficiency.
  • Developing strategies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the information system.
  • Ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Developing and implementing reporting processes to track progress against goals and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Creating documentation and user guides for system processes and functionalities.
  • Design and implement technology best practices across the industry.
  • Must be able to perform duties with moderate to low supervision.
  • Maintain timeline and accuracy of reports churned out.

 

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in database management (SQL, Oracle, etc.).

 

  • Strong knowledge of data analysis and business intelligence tools (e.g., MS Excel, Power BI, Tableau).
  • Understanding of programming languages like Python or R (especially for advanced analytics).
  • Knowledge of networking and IT infrastructure.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools, database management, and reporting software (e.g., Excel, SQL, Power BI).

  •  Excellent verbal and written communication skills to present findings to stakeholders and collaborate with teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to interpret data, identify trends, and develop solutions.
  • Understanding of business processes and the ability to translate data insights into actionable strategies.
  • Ensuring accuracy and integrity of data is crucial in this role.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.

 

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

  • A Bachelor's/Master’s degree in information systems, computer science, or a related field is typically required.
  • 1 to 3 years’ experience in MIS Management in BFSI/NBFC sector or any other industry.
