About Job

Support Engineer, Chennai

We are looking for a proactive and skilled Support Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Linux server management, job scheduling, and automation, along with the ability to provide round-the-clock support in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and monitor batch job processes to ensure smooth execution
  • Perform Linux server patching and routine maintenance activities
  • Handle file transfer processes using standard file transfer tools
  • Support and maintain Linux server environments
  • Develop and implement automation solutions to improve operational efficiency
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues in a timely manner
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for issue resolution and system improvements
  • Provide 24/7 support as part of a rotational shift schedule

Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with batch job management tools
  • Experience in file transfer management tools (e.g., FTP, SFTP, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of Linux/Unix concepts and server management
  • Knowledge of automation tools and scripting
  • Basic knowledge of at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Shell, etc.)
  • Good problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Experience in middleware domain
  • Exposure to enterprise-level support environments
  • Familiarity with monitoring and alerting tools
  • Strong troubleshooting abilities
  • Ability to work in a 24/7 support environment
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Adaptability and willingness to learn new technologies
