Job Description

Location:- Chennai (Preferred) | Mumbai | Bangalore | Hyderabad | Gurgaon | Noida

The AutoCAD Expert will be responsible for high-quality drafting, detailing, and drawing production to support Architects and engineering teams in delivering coordinated, accurate, and construction-ready designs for data center buildings and mission-critical facilities.
This role is execution-focused, ensuring all drawings related to data center buildings, internal layouts, and support spaces are:

• Accurate
• Well-coordinated with MEP systems
• Aligned with project standards and BIM workflows

An AutoCAD Expert who converts data center building and architectural design concepts into accurate, coordinated, and construction-ready drawings.

AutoCAD Drafting & Drawing Production (Core Responsibility)

• Prepare, update, and maintain AutoCAD drawings for:
  • Data center building layouts
  • Data halls / white space layouts
  • Support spaces (MEP rooms, electrical rooms, IBMS rooms, security rooms)
  • Plans, sections, elevations, and architectural details
• Develop:
  • General Arrangement (GA) drawings
  • Construction / IFC‑level drawings
  • Enlarged details and typical sections
• Translate architectural design inputs into accurate, constructible drawings

 

Architectural Detailing

• Support architects with:
  • Data hall layouts (hot aisle / cold aisle – guided)
  • Functional zoning and space planning
• Prepare detailed drawings, room layouts, and door schedules

Multidisciplinary Coordination (Critical)

• Coordinate drawings with:
  • Structural, HVAC, Electrical, ELV / ICT teams
• Incorporate clash‑resolution and coordination updates
• Ensure no conflicts between architecture and MEP systems

BIM / Revit Support (Preferred)

• Assist in AutoCAD ↔ Revit conversion
• Support BIM coordination and drawing extraction

Documentation & Quality

• Maintain drawing registers, revisions, and version control
• Ensure standard layers, templates, and naming
• Perform self‑checks for accuracy and coordination

Construction Support

• Update drawings based on site changes and RFIs
• Prepare as‑built drawings

Qualifications

• Diploma / BE / BTech – Architecture / Civil / Drafting
• ITI Draftsman (Architecture) acceptable with relevant experience
• 3 to 8 years of experience in:
• Architectural drafting (building projects)
•  Experience in: Data centers / industrial / large commercial / MEP-heavy buildings

Mandatory Skills

• AutoCAD 2D – Expert (Non‑Negotiable)
• Strong understanding of architectural drawings
• Basic awareness of MEP coordination and clearances
• Ability to handle multiple revisions under tight schedules

Preferred Skills

• Exposure to data center or MEP‑intensive projects
• Basic Revit / BIM knowledge
• Familiarity with NBC / fire & life safety norms
