Bus Steward

Role Overview

The Bus Steward is responsible for delivering a high-quality onboard experience by ensuring passenger comfort, cleanliness, and prompt assistance throughout the journey. This role plays a key part in enhancing customer satisfaction and maintaining RKK Travels’ premium service standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Passenger Assistance & Boarding

• Welcome passengers warmly during boarding
• Assist with seat/berth allocation
• Support passengers with luggage when required
• Ensure smooth and organized boarding process
• Assist with ad hoc ticket booking

2. Customer Experience & Service

• Maintain a friendly, respectful, and professional approach at all times
• Assist passengers with onboard facilities (charging ports, water, blankets, etc.)
• Ensure a comfortable and pleasant journey experience

3. Cleanliness & Upkeep

• Maintain high cleanliness standards inside the bus at all times by effectively overseeing cleaning staff.
• Maintain high standards of comfort and functionality by regularly checking and ensuring:

-      Beds and pillows are clean and well-arranged

-      Curtains are neat and properly maintained

-      Cabin hygiene is consistently upheld

-      All onboard amenities are functioning properly

-      Report any maintenance issues immediately

4. Issue Handling & Support

• Address passenger concerns promptly and politely
• Coordinate with driver/captain for quick resolution
• Escalate serious issues to management immediately

5. Feedback & Rating Support

• Encourage passengers to share feedback and ratings
• Assist passengers in completing survey links if required
• Support efforts to improve overall customer ratings

6. Safety & Compliance

• Ensure passengers follow safety guidelines
• Be aware of emergency procedures
• Assist in managing any emergency situation calmly

7. Professional Conduct

• Maintain punctuality and discipline
• Be well-groomed and presentable in uniform
• Communicate politely and respectfully with all passengers

Skills Required

• Good communication skills (Tamil/Kannada; Basic English)
• Customer-friendly attitude
• Problem-solving ability
• Patience and professionalism

• Location: As per route allocation
• Shift: Flexible (including night travel)
• Travel: Required
