Continental Cook

Job Summary

The Continental Cook is responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting high-quality continental dishes while maintaining food safety, hygiene, and kitchen standards. The role requires consistency in taste, presentation, and adherence to standard recipes.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook continental dishes as per standard recipes and presentation guidelines.
• Ensure food quality, taste, and portion control are maintained at all times.
• Prepare ingredients by chopping, marinating, and pre-cooking as required.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the workstation in accordance with food safety standards.
• Monitor stock levels and inform the Chef about shortages.
• Store food items correctly and follow FIFO (First In, First Out) practices.
• Minimize food wastage and control kitchen costs.
• Assist in menu planning and development of new continental dishes.
• Ensure all food is prepared and served within the required time.
• Follow all company SOPs, HACCP, and food safety regulations.
• Coordinate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the Head Chef or Kitchen Manager.
