Job Description

  • Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks according to the hostel menu and schedule.
  • Ensure food is cooked with consistent quality, taste, and nutritional value.
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen, cooking equipment, utensils, and food preparation areas.
  • Follow food safety, sanitation, and personal hygiene standards at all times.
  • Store food items properly and monitor expiry dates to minimize wastage.
  • Check the quality and quantity of ingredients before preparation.
  • Assist in planning menus in coordination with the Hostel Manager or Mess Supervisor.
  • Maintain records of daily food consumption and kitchen inventory.
  • Report shortages, damaged equipment, or maintenance issues promptly.
  • Ensure efficient use of food supplies to reduce waste and control costs.
