Electrical Engineer

Job Summary:

APZEM is looking for a talented and detail-oriented

Electrical Engineer with experience in VFD systems, PLC controls, and control

panel building. The role involves understanding project-wise panel requirements,

preparing panel drawings and bill of materials, inspecting panels as per

project specifications, and supporting installation and commissioning

activities through online or onsite assistance as required.

Job Description·        

Understand the control

panel requirement for each project based on customer specification, process

need, and site conditions.

Prepare electrical

panel drawings, including GA drawings, schematic diagrams, wiring diagrams, and

layout drawings.

·        

Prepare BOM (Bill of

Materials) for control panels, including selection of VFDs, PLCs, HMIs, relays,

breakers, contactors, terminals, cables, and other panel accessories.

·        

Coordinate with

design, production, procurement, and project teams for accurate execution of

panel building requirements.

·        

Review technical

specifications and ensure the panel design complies with functional, safety,

and project requirements.

·        

Inspect completed

control panels based on approved drawings, BOM, wiring standards, and customer

requirements.

·        

Support panel FAT,

troubleshooting, and internal testing before dispatch.

·        

Provide technical

support to the installation team for control panel wiring, field connections,

and loop checking.

·        

Support commissioning

activities for PLC and VFD-based systems through online or offline mode

depending on project demand.

·        

Assist in resolving

site issues related to panel operation, interlocks, communication, and motor

control logic.

·        

Ensure proper

documentation, revision control, and record maintenance for drawings, BOMs, and

inspection reports.

 Required Skills and

Abilities·        

Good knowledge of

electrical control panels, MCC panels, PLC panels, and VFD panels.

·        

Hands-on experience in

VFD selection, parameter setting, troubleshooting, and commissioning.

·        

Working knowledge of

PLC control systems, I/O wiring, interlocks, and basic automation logic.

·        

Ability to prepare and

review panel drawings using AutoCAD or similar electrical design software.

·        

Knowledge of BOM

preparation, component selection, and panel inspection practices.

·        

Familiarity with

control wiring, power wiring, cable scheduling, and field installation support.

·        

Understanding of

electrical safety standards and good engineering practices.

·        

Good communication

skills in Tamil and English.

·        

Strong attention to

detail, documentation, and coordination skills.

·        

Ability to travel or

provide remote support for installation and commissioning activities when

required.

Education and Experience·        

Bachelor’s degree or

Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering or a related field.

·        

Experience in control

panel design, PLC/VFD systems, panel building, or industrial automation

projects is preferred.

·        

Freshers with strong

practical knowledge in electrical panels, PLCs, and VFDs may also be considered.

Experience required Minimum 1yr – Maximum 5 years.
