Role: Head of Design (Premium Residential)

Location: Chennai (On-site / Studio-based)

Experience: 6+ years in high-end residential interior design

About the Role:

We are a fast-growing, luxury residential interior design startup in Chennai operating on a lean, agile model. We focus on premium design strategy and outsource all fabrication to state-of-the-art modular factories. We are looking for a visionary Head of Design to lead our design language, manage client design pitches, and ensure flawless technical design handovers.

Core Responsibilities:

• Lead the creative design strategy for high-end villas and premium apartments across Chennai (OMR, ECR, Anna Nagar, Adyar).
• Own the client relationship from the initial design brief and mood board presentation to final design sign-off.
• Direct and manage external freelance 3D visualizers to ensure international-standard renderings.
• Supervise the production of micro-detailed Working Drawings / GFC (Good for Construction) layouts, ensuring zero dimensional errors before factory processing.
• Source and curate unique materials, custom finishes, and lighting layouts by leveraging Chennai’s trade hubs.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Interior Design or Architecture.
• Extensive portfolio of completed premium residential projects in Chennai.
• Master-level proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and MS Office; deep understanding of 3ds Max/V-Ray output tracking.
• Exceptional presentation and communication skills to navigate high-net-worth individuals (HNIs).
• In-depth practical knowledge of residential ergonomics, materials (veneers, laminates, lacquered glass), and structural constraints.
