Project Role Description : Provide L1–L2 technical support for infrastructure, systems, and applications in production and development environments, both remotely and onsite, following defined operating models and processes. Act as the primary interface with users/clients to accurately diagnose issues and deliver effective resolutions across infrastructure, operating systems, networks, and application platforms, ensuring service stability and quality support.

Summary:
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Senior Network Administrator to lead the design, implementation, and management of our enterprise network infrastructure. This role goes beyond maintenance—you ll drive network reliability, security, scalability, and performance while mentoring junior team members and supporting business-critical operations.

Roles & Responsibilities:
* Senior Network Administrator to lead the design, implementation, and management of our enterprise network infrastructure.
* Drive network reliability, security, scalability
* Manage and maintain enterprise network infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless networks.
* Monitor network performance, availability, and capacity to ensure optimal uptime.
* Troubleshoot network, connectivity, and performance issues across LAN, WAN, VPN, and internet links.
* Configure and manage VLANs, routing protocols, NAT, ACLs, and network security policies.
* Support firewall management and security compliance activities.
* Coordinate with ISP, vendors, and internal teams for issue resolution and network changes.
* Perform network patching, firmware upgrades, and configuration backups.
* Implement and maintain network monitoring tools and alerting systems.
* Support datacenter and DR network infrastructure activities.
* Participate in incident management, root cause analysis, and problem management discussions.
* Maintain network documentation, topology diagrams, SOPs, and operational procedures.
*Ensure adherence to ITIL processes, change management, and security standards.
*Provide support during maintenance activities, outages, and critical incidents.
* Mentor junior engineers and assist in shift or operational management activities.
* Work closely with Linux, VMware, Backup, Security, and Application teams for infrastructure coordination.

Professional & Technical Skills:
* Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
* 5+ years of hands-on experience in network administration/engineering
* Strong expertise in:
* TCP/IP, OSI model, routing (OSPF, BGP), switching (VLANs, STP)
* Network security (firewalls, VPNs, ACLs, NAT)
* Experience with enterprise-grade networking equipment (Cisco, Fortinet, Juniper, etc.)
* Hands-on experience with:
* Network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, Nagios, PRTG, Wireshark)
* Firewall and security appliances
* Working knowledge of cloud networking (VPCs, subnets, gateways, hybrid connectivity)
* Experience in high-availability and failover configurations
* Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills
Optional:
* CCNA / CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional preferred)
* CompTIA Network+
* Fortinet NSE / Palo Alto certifications (nice to have)
* AWS/Azure Networking Specialty (optional)

Additional Information:
* The candidate should have minimum 3 years of experience in Network Infrastructures.
* This position is based at our Chennai office.
* A 15 years full time education is required.
