Intune Software Deployment Lead

Job Title:  Intune Software Deployment Engineer
Role Overview:

The Intune Software Deployment Engineer is responsible for designing, packaging, deploying, and supporting enterprise applications using Microsoft Intune. This role ensures secure, reliable, and scalable application delivery across Windows and mobile endpoints while aligning with ITSM change governance, security standards, and end user experience goals.
The role partners closely with Endpoint Engineering, Security, Service Desk, and Operations teams to deliver seamless application lifecycle management with minimal business disruption. 

Key Responsibilities

Application Packaging & Deployment

• Deploy Win32, LOB, Microsoft Store, and enterprise applications using Microsoft Intune / SCCM / MECM.
• Manage application assignments to user and device groups, including phased and pilot‑based rollouts.
• Perform application testing, validation, and rollback planning prior to production deployment.
• Maintain application detection rules, supersede, dependencies, and version control.

• Experience with Windows application Development (C#/WPF/UWP) 

Operational & ITSM Alignment

• Execute deployments in alignment with change management, release governance, and SLA commitments.
• Support incident, problem, and change workflows through ServiceNow or equivalent ITSM tools.
• Troubleshoot deployment failures, Company Portal visibility issues, and install conflicts across endpoints. 

Endpoint & Platform Support

• Support Windows 11, co‑managed (Intune + MECM) and cloud‑managed environments.
• Collaborate on Autopilot‑based provisioning and zero‑touch application delivery.
• Partner with Security teams to ensure applications comply with endpoint security and compliance requirements

Automation, Monitoring & Reporting

• Leverage PowerShell to automate packaging, validation, and deployment tasks.
• Monitor deployment success, failure trends, and user impact using Intune reporting and logs.
• Produce operational and leadership‑ready metrics for deployment health and reliability. 

Qualifications:

• At least five years’ Experience with Intune Application deployment to Windows and iOS devices
• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure, Entra, and Conditional Access.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Effective communication and collaboration abilities.

   

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong hands‑on experience with deploying software’s / application through Microsoft Intune & SCCM.
• Experience packaging and deploying Win32 applications (EXE/MSI) at enterprise scale.
• Working knowledge of Windows endpoint management, Azure AD / Entra ID, and device groups.
• Experience supporting deployments in ITSM‑governed environments.
• Solid troubleshooting skills across Windows application and Intune delivery issues.
• Experience deploying Windows Update for Business.
• Experience deploying Windows computers using Autopilot and iOS devices using Apple Automated device Enrolment

Preferred Skills

• Experience with co‑management (Intune + MECM/SCCM).
• PowerShell scripting for deployment automation and remediation.
• Familiarity with Autopilot, Company Portal, and modern endpoint provisioning.
• Exposure to enterprise environments supporting thousands of endpoints. 

• Solid understanding of software development practices, including version control, testing, and deployment.
