Job Description
Job Summary:
An Insurance Advisor at LIC is responsible for helping individuals and families understand life insurance products and guiding them in selecting suitable insurance plans to meet their financial protection and investment goals. The role primarily focuses on customer acquisition, policy servicing, and long-term relationship building.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify potential customers and generate leads through personal networking and referrals
- Explain LIC insurance products such as term plans, endowment plans, pension plans, and ULIPs
- Assist clients in selecting suitable policies based on their financial needs
- Complete policy proposal forms and ensure proper documentation
- Follow up with customers for premium payments and policy renewals
- Provide after-sales service and support claim assistance when required
- Maintain long-term relationships with clients to ensure customer retention
- Minimum qualification: 10th / 12th pass (preferred graduates)
- Age: 18 years and above
- Good communication skills
- Basic understanding of financial products (training provided by LIC)
Skills Required:
- Sales and persuasion skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Customer relationship management
- Self-motivation and target orientation
- Basic digital literacy (mobile/email usage for policy tracking)
Training & Certification:
- Mandatory IRDAI licensing exam required (provided and supported by LIC)
- LIC training program to understand products and sales process
Compensation:
- Commission-based income structure
