Light Truck Driver

Reporting To: Warehouse/Operations Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Drive the Tata Ace safely for material deliveries and collections.
• Load and unload goods carefully with the support of warehouse and delivery staff.
• Verify materials against invoices, delivery challans and purchase documents before leaving.
• Ensure materials are delivered to the correct customer and obtain acknowledgement or proof of delivery.
• Plan delivery routes efficiently and complete deliveries within the scheduled time.
• Collect payments, cheques or documents from customers when instructed and hand them over to the concerned person.
• Handle products carefully and prevent damage, shortage or loss during transportation.
• Maintain the vehicle in clean and good working condition.
• Check fuel, engine oil, tyres, brakes and other basic vehicle conditions regularly.
• Inform the management immediately about vehicle repairs, accidents, delays or delivery issues.
• Maintain daily records of kilometres travelled, fuel consumption, deliveries and vehicle expenses.
• Follow all traffic rules and company safety procedures.
• Assist with warehouse work, packing and stock movement when there are no scheduled deliveries.

Eligibility RequirementsValid

• Light Motor Vehicle driving licence.
• Minimum 2–3 years of commercial driving experience preferred.
• Familiarity with local roads and delivery routes.
• Ability to read basic invoices and delivery challans.
• Physically fit and willing to assist with loading and unloading.
• Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance.
• Honest, punctual, disciplined and responsible.
