As part of the Digital & Technology Core Finance Creation Center organization, our team focuses on creating, configuring, and operating digital products, platforms, and solutions that facilitate Pfizer's core finance functions. This includes areas such as Financial Consolidations, Planning, Budgeting & Forecasting, Compliance, and Internal and External Reporting.

 

This Manager role is a hands-on technical role responsible for developing financial reporting visualizations leveraging on-premise and cloud platforms and delivering new/next-gen features using  leading BI tools including AI capabilities and industrializing the solution build.

 

Pfizer seeks a candidate with strong understanding of SDLC processes, documentation and their application to solving business problems.  The candidate is highly self-motivated, eager to explore new technologies, and is effective when working in a team environment. A strong aptitude towards self-development and growth is highly desired.

 

 

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Build integrated solutions on a consistent foundation architecture and manage interdependencies with other Digital solutions to create a world-class end-user experience

• Design and Implement data models to support large scale business intelligence reporting, including creation of attributes, facts, and metrics

• Leverage AI capabilities on the reporting solution for faster and sharper decision making

• Identify continuous improvement opportunities to improve system performance and end-user functionality

• Drive Operational efficiencies through continuous improvements

 

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or similar field

• 6+ years experience working in development and/or support teams

• Strong understanding of any leading Business intelligence tools (PowerBI suite, Fabric, etc).

• Strong knowledge on Modelling the data for reporting/dashboarding

• Good knowledge on other Power platform including admin management 

• Experience with GenAI capabilities. This includes understanding the principles of these frameworks, as well as practical experience in building applications with them

• Experience with database technologies (Aurora, Postgres, Snowflake, Oracle)

• Experience with ETL Tools (AWS Glue, Informatica, Talend, etc.)

• Excellent organizational and time management capabilities

• Strong interpersonal skills in building customer relationships

• Ability to work independently and or in a global team setting across time zones.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• In depth knowledge of Cloud technologies

• Pharmaceutical life science domain experience

• Exposure to Finance reporting applications

• Exposure to DevOps processes

• PowerBI / AI certification

• Familiar with SDLC/Agile methodologies

NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS

• Job will require working with global teams and applications. Flexible working schedule will be needed on occasion to accommodate planned agile sprint planning and system releases as well as unplanned/on-call level 3 support.

• Potential post-pandemic travel required for critical project work < 10%
