Manager- Parts Standardisation KM
Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
Ensure timely support to all active programs for hardware and standard parts requirements.
Collaborate closely with the Product Development team to maximize standardization and carry-over from the existing database through design reviews and actionable recommendations.
Engage with stakeholders to define appropriate attributes for new part development, particularly for standard fasteners and standard parts.
Expand the scope of standardization by incorporating additional commodities through active coordination with Centers of Excellence (CoEs).
Conduct failure analysis in collaboration with Product Development and provide effective recommendations for improvement.
Coordinate with key stakeholders—including Development, Sourcing, Plant Engineering, and Suppliers—to address new requirements efficiently.
Perform periodic eBOM analysis to identify opportunities for enhanced standardization and recommend corrective actions.
Oversee the creation, standardization, and timely delivery of knowledge documents emerging from New Product Development (NPD) projects.
Manage and continuously update technical standards, ensuring they remain current, accurate, and easily accessible.
Implement and monitor the Knowledge Management Index to encourage knowledge sharing and recognize contributions across the organization.
Foster a culture of innovation by supporting relevant programs and initiatives.
Develop, maintain, and promote a centralized Knowledge Management portal.
Support organizational initiatives, including Vihaan, by ensuring successful project execution and driving continuous improvement.
Prepare and present MIS reports to senior management, providing updates on KM & hardware standardization initiatives.
Experience
Industry Preferred
Preferable from Fastener domain with Development exposure
Preferable from off-highway - Tractors, Construction Equipment, Automotive.
Preferable from Knowledge Management experience
Qualifications
BE in Mechanical Engineering/ Electrical Engg/ ECE
General Requirements
• Hands on Skill in Fastener Manufacturing process, Development and Tool Design
• Well versed in Supplier and customer handling
• Exposure in CAD softwares like UGNX, CATIA and PLM softwares preferably TCUA
• Good understanding on Product Development process
• Data driven approach • Should have good networking capability
• Ability to converse clearly in English during various forums, interactions
• Self driven and result oriented
• Quick learner
• Basic knowledge of AI
• Exposure to software standardization • Working exposure in R&D function from Tractor/Automotive/Farm Equipment/Auto Ancillary
• Should have good analytical skill while analyzing technical data / information
• Exposure to IT/PLM systems such as Team Center or its equivalent.
• Good knowledge of Ms-Office utilities like: Word, Power point, Excel
• Basic knowledge of Innovation and Intellectual Property Management
