Job Summary:

As an NPI Quality Engineer specializing in In-Process Quality Control (IPQC), Out-of-Box Audit (OBA), Outgoing Quality Control (OQC), and Customer Quality Control (CQC), you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our mobile phone products. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement quality control processes, conduct inspections, analyze data, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with cross-functional teams during the new product introduction phase to define quality requirements and specifications for mobile phones.
  2. Develop and implement comprehensive quality control plans, including IPQC, OBA, OQC, and CQC procedures, to ensure adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  3. Conduct in-depth inspections and audits of mobile phone components, assemblies, and finished products at various stages of the manufacturing process.
  4. Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs) to address quality issues and drive process improvements.
  5. Utilize statistical analysis tools and methodologies to analyze inspection data, identify trends, and proactively address quality concerns.
  6. Collaborate with suppliers and contract manufacturers to resolve quality issues related to incoming materials and components.
  7. Provide technical expertise and guidance to production teams to ensure compliance with quality control procedures and standards.
  8. Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including inspection reports, quality records, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  9. Lead cross-functional teams in conducting failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA) and risk assessments to mitigate quality risks.
  10. Stay informed about industry best practices, emerging technologies, and regulatory requirements related to mobile phone quality assurance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  •  years of experience in quality engineering or related roles, preferably in the mobile phone industry.
  • Strong understanding of quality management systems, including ISO 9001 and other relevant standards.
  • Proficiency in quality control methodologies, statistical analysis tools (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean), and quality assurance techniques.
  • Experience with in-process and final product inspections, including visual inspections, functional testing, and reliability testing.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.
  • Knowledge of mobile phone components, manufacturing processes, and quality requirements is a plus.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Engineer) are desirable.
