Job SummaryGenesis Hospital is seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Pharmacist to manage medication dispensing, inventory control, and patient counseling while ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and quality standards.
- Key ResponsibilitiesDispense prescribed medications accurately and efficiently.
- Review prescriptions for accuracy and completeness.
- Counsel patients on medication usage, dosage, side effects, and storage.
- Maintain pharmacy inventory and monitor stock levels.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of medicines and medical supplies.
- Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals regarding medication requirements.
- Maintain records of controlled drugs and pharmacy transactions.
- Monitor expiry dates and ensure timely disposal of expired medications.
- Follow hospital policies, pharmacy regulations, and safety standards.
- Assist in procurement and inventory audits as required.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy area.
- RequirementsBachelor's Degree or Diploma in Pharmacy (B.Pharm / D.Pharm).
- Valid Pharmacist Registration Certificate.
- 1–3 years of experience in a hospital, clinic, or retail pharmacy preferred.
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical products, drug interactions, and healthcare regulations.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Basic computer knowledge and pharmacy software experience preferred.
