PHE BIM Modeller

Job Purpose

To develop, coordinate, and manage high?quality BIM models and drawings for Public Health Engineering (PHE) systems across projects, ensuring design accuracy, interdisciplinary coordination, and compliance with BIM standards.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

BIM Modelling & Design

• Prepare BIM models and drawings based on approved design inputs, specifications, and standards.
• Develop scheme and detailed drawings for water supply, sanitary, and drainage systems.
• Create BIM models for all PHE systems, including: 
  • Internal water supply and sanitary systems
  • External water supply and sewer networks
  • Stormwater drainage systems
  • Landscape irrigation systems
  • Internal and external effluent drainage systems
• Understand vendor/shop drawings and convert them into accurate BIM models when required.

Coordination & Review

• Coordinate PHE designs with Architectural, Structural, HVAC, Electrical, Fire, and Civil disciplines.
• Perform internal and external MEP service coordination and issue coordinated drawings/models.
• Conduct clash detection and model reviews using Navisworks Manage.
• Coordinate with site teams, consultants, vendors, and clients to resolve design and execution issues.
• Review vendor models and drawings and provide necessary technical inputs.

BIM Management & Standards

• Participate in project BIM Execution Plan (BEP) preparation and implementation.
• Assist in initial project setup in BIM and CAD, including templates, standards, and workflows.
• Create parametric Revit families and maintain standard BIM libraries.
• Prepare and maintain standard PHE BIM and CAD drawings.
• Support digitalization initiatives through adoption of new BIM tools and processes.

Training & Knowledge Sharing

• Share Revit and AutoCAD knowledge with interdisciplinary teams.
• Conduct BIM software training (Revit, Civil 3D) for junior team members and civil teams.
• Mentor junior BIM modellers to improve modelling quality and coordination efficiency.
• Conduct BIM coordination meetings in the absence of the BIM Coordinator.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Proficiency in Revit (PHE), AutoCAD, Navisworks Manage, and Civil 3D.
• Strong understanding of PHE systems, codes, and construction practices.
• Experience in interdisciplinary coordination and clash resolution.
• Ability to interpret design and vendor drawings accurately.
• Good communication and coordination skills.

Qualification & Experience

• Diploma / Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Civil / Public Health Engineering or related field.
• Relevant 5+ years of experience in PHE BIM modelling for buildings or infrastructure projects.
