Job Description
Press Tool Maker
We are looking for a skilled and proactive Press Tool Maker with hands-on expertise in new tool manufacturing, assembly, part proving, and team handling. The ideal candidate should be capable of independently managing tooling projects from development to final production support.
Key Responsibilities
- Manufacture and develop new press tools as per drawings and production requirements
- Perform tool assembly, fitting, try-outs, and troubleshooting
- Conduct part proving and ensure dimensional accuracy & quality standards
- Handle maintenance and modification of existing tools
- Coordinate with production and quality teams for smooth tool implementation
- Lead and manage tool room technicians/operators effectively
- Ensure timely completion of tooling projects with minimum downtime
- Maintain proper documentation and adherence to safety practices
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong knowledge of press tools, dies, fixtures, and tool room operations
- Experience in tool assembly, spotting, and proving activities
- Ability to read engineering drawings and use measuring instruments
- Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Leadership capability to manage and guide a team
- Experience in sheet metal / automotive / manufacturing industry preferred
