Role Overview: -
We are looking for a Principal Engineer to lead one of our key engineering teams. This is a hands-on, 100% coding role with deep ownership across system design, architecture, and delivery. You will work closely with senior engineers, engineering managers, and product stakeholders to design and build highly scalable, cloud-native systems.
This role is ideal for someone who operates at a staff/principal level, influences technical direction across teams, and has a strong bias for execution.

Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership & Architecture

Own and drive the end-to-end technical architecture of complex, distributed systems
Design and evolve microservices-based architectures with high scalability, reliability, and performance
Define and enforce engineering best practices around code quality, security, and observability
Make pragmatic trade-offs between architectural purity and delivery speed

Hands-on Development (Core Expectation)

Write high-quality, production-grade code daily (no pure design or review-only roles)
Lead by example across backend and frontend development
Participate in complex feature development, refactoring, and performance optimization
Review code rigorously and mentor senior engineers through real code contributions

Collaboration & Influence

Partner with Product, UX, and Platform teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions
Influence technical roadmap beyond your immediate team
Provide technical mentorship and raise the overall bar for engineering excellence across CES
